Intervalometer on Sony a7v ?

Hi I know there is a built in intervalometer on this camera but how do I add an external one,as it has no shutter release socket, thanks

The lower USB port can be used for remote control with certain cables. This one works; you would just need an intervalometer that can use that cable or be adapted to it.

There is good chance it has Bluetooth, and your phone with sony app might be the best way to control

I’ve seen a few people in fb and Reddit groups who have tried these without luck.
Have you tried this yourself and which intervalometer did you use it with.

I have not. There are only two that are reported to work; this other one is much longer, and much more expensive.
