Hi, its time for International Photo COmpetition episode 2.

Regist and Upload your photos to

www.ipc2008.com

before December 20th 2007.

The rules and prizes can be seen in our website.

win the best experiences !!!!

All photo entries become the rights of the International Photo Competition (the IPC team – bhinneka production), and can be used for publication purposes. In an event that the photos will be used for commercial purposes, the committee will contact the photographer’s first.

I think many people will be concerned with that particular clause.

Also, unless I'm mistaken there is no mention of prizes on the website :)

And if it's the second competition where are the winners from the first? Wouldn't touch this one I'm afraid.

lol :D Nigerian scammers are getting crafty these days.

Aha! Just found them :)

2006 was the last one, not 2007 :)

I think its quite a legitimate competition, but its run abroad (which in itself isnt a bad thing, it just falls under different laws), and also particularly the clause I quoted above, will be a worry for some people :)

You maybe right. For me tho, random country, no real prize other than being exhibited and they own your images. Sounds very dodgy.

Just tried to look at the website but it's not opening for me - not a good sign (I'll stay clear I think)

It has just occured to me that having a competition with one of the rules being that the organisers own the rights to the entries is a fantastically cheap way of getting a huge number of photographs to use as you wish - probably even cheaper than buying through microstock especially if you aren't offering much of a prize
