A difficult one to describe this, but I'll have ago.
Looking to see if anyone else has had a similar issue and what was done to resolve it. I have found a few threads on various forums dating back a bit, but nothing concrete as to what solved the problem.
The issue is an intermittent one, which I know is going to make this potentially difficult to solve.
The scenario is;
I take a photo… I press the play back button to review the image and all is fine.
I then move backwards through the images, after a short time (occasionally) the screen then goes blank.
I then press play again, or the Q button, or any button that would normally bring something up on the LCD screen. But nothing happens, nothing appears at all. It's like the camera is dead. But.....
The camera will continue to take shots, no issue there it just won’t display anything on the rear screen at all.
If I switch the camera to Live View, then the screen comes back to life with whatever I am viewing.
But, if I then revert back to the viewfinder and press play back button or any other button, the screen still won’t come back on.
After a few minutes and a few more shots the screen does eventually come back to life.
I have also tried switching the camera on and off, but this doesn't bring it back into action.
I've spoken to Fixation who basically say it could be a number of things from loose wire to knackered LCD. But only possible to asses once sent it.
