Has anyone had any experience using Interfit Cyberflash flat panel lighting

like this http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&sku=331708&Q=&is=REG&A=details

I have only just started to try off camera flash, so don't have much of a clue.

I have the chance to buy 2 of these panels with stands etc at what seems a very reasonable price. They even have some reflectors and backdrops thrown in.

I just wondered if anyone on here has used them before.
Are they any good or would I be throwing my money away?

Any advice would be appreciated.

looked into them before, they look kinda neat, but they're pretty expensive, and don't really take mods very well... would probably be better off with normal heads that you can put softboxes and umbrellas etc on, and that can also be used to make harder light.

If I said they were about 1/6 of the price on the link, would they look a better bet. Especially with reflectors and backdrops thrown in?

Hah, uh....depends what you mean by reflectors... can't imagine that they do any decent or affordable softboxes for these really, so depends what you want really... could see these being quite neat for a few uses, but other than that really strike me as ease of use vs the quality of light that you'll be able to mod out of them :/

No experience of using them, but going on the spec...

Only a 3 stop adjustment, very slow recycling and they operate on 110v and, most important of all, you can't modify the light in any way.

Those are the negatives, are there any benefits at all?

holy hell they recycle slowly...you could go make a cuppa between shots!
