Interesting - photographer threatens defamation after being accused of not taking photos

So another story from PhotoStealers

Seems they reported on a photographer using stock photos and composites and claiming them as their own. Lots of back and forth in which the photographer finally claims he's contacted a lawyer to sue the site and contributors.

To be honest that's probably more it's the US. Incredibly religious country.

Wow!

I can understand how some scams like this work, but I sincerely can't grasp how they're so effective...greed I suppose? Do people still have the opinion of "if it's online, it's not real life so not hurting real people?" Or are those days long gone? (Old fora and chatroom experience). Quite alarming really.
