Been somewhat flat lately - weather has been variable, and I have been uninterested and uninspired..
We had a sponsored event at work this week all to do with the environment and compost...
I went to one of our stores, the BBC sent their tour bus and a few celebs attended, as did a couple of togs, one freelnace, one from the local rag.
I approached the freelance chap and had a chat with him, not sure what sort of reaction to expect... he was a really nice bloke, friendly and down to earth.. I watched him go to work, manovering the celebs and positioning them with some final tweakes.. He took his time, and composed the shots well.
The way he organised was to him natural, but to me was very interesting to see and made for great learning.
Another local rag pro turned up snapped a few pics and went - not much to see or learn...
Once things settled somewhat I got my stuff out, only traveling light I worked round taking some snaps of the event as a whole, and then found the confidence to get in close... being careful not to tread on anyones toes...
I got some really nice promo shots from our companies point of view which I'm sure will come in handy at some point.
Discussed some gear with the pro, I think I sold him on the Idea of the slingshot!!
For me this was really refreshing - had a great day and when I got home I found out that one or 2 of the pictures were usable!
Cant wait to get out again......
