Hi.

I am looking to use more powerful lighting solutions outdoors. It wouldn't make sense for me to spend loads of cash on something like the Elinchrom ( or even the much more modest Lencarta solutions but I'd prefer to use my Elinchrom mods anyway ) so I wondered if the above might be a solution for me. I'm not sure how this would work though.

I have Elinchrom BXRi 500 lights. Will this unit work well with them? If I plug two of these in will I be able to fire them at full power or not? How about if I only plug one in?

These are basic questions and if they seem naive I apologise but I really am not clued up on this side of things so all advice is welcome :)

Innovatronix works well, does what it says on the tin, good solution IMHO. Modelling light drains them quickly though, and heavy. Time they embraced lithium technology. Godox do something similar, but I've not tried that.

Thanks for your reply Richard, Will they allow my El 500 lights to fire at full power do you know?

Yes, no problem. Suggest phone The Flash Centre and talk it through, or pop in if you're near a branch. Or hire one to try, I think they allow some of the hire cost against purchase price.

Excellent. I'm now wondering if the Godox units are worth the extra £s. These could be the answer to a problem I have coming up in March :)

I will give TFC a call on Monday.

Thanks for the help

Having talked to TFC I will consider both and also might rent for a trial
