Had a Media Street system for a short while and although the inks were very good the cardridges did not fit into the head very well and caused endless proplems. So sent back and got a CityInkExpress system which works very well indeed but not so impressed with the inks!

Before I empty the CityInkExpress system of inks and replace with Media Street inks at 8x£10, I wondered if any one had found any good inks and possible profiles?

I've always gone to SVP for my ink, very cheap and no problems with the CISS (Continuas Ink Supply System) inks.

Just enter 'CIS' in the search box...

EDIT;
After submitting the reply, I notice 'SVP' is converted to a direct link which displays a page with the following details...

Discounts for Talk Photography Members

In order to get the discount we need you to do the following:

1. Register an account. You don't need to buy anything, just register.
2. Email steve@svp.co.uk with your surname, the email address you've used to register at SVP and a message saying "Please can I have the Talk Photography discount on my account?"
3. Your account will be upgraded with the discount. Once done (please allow up to a day, although usually it'll be faster) when you log back in you'll see the retail prices crossed out and your personal prices on the website instead.

I've been using this company for a long time and they are spot on and reliable!!!

Thanks for the tip Dave but I checked out SVP but they don’t carry pigment inks for the Epson R2400.

I have spoken to a few people (Shane at CityInksExpress, in particularly) and the recommend is to use refillable cartridges as this should stop the settling problem with pigment inks, which will effect the colouration quite quickly if left to settle and will cause blockages.

So I have ordered a set of inks from MediaStreet yesterday which I got today. And have ordered a set of refillable cartridges from CityInksExpress, will let you know how well it works, on the face of it the cost of ink will come down to 1/12 of the normal cost of Epson Ink, plus the quality as previously tested is very very good using MediaStreet Profile (Print to Screen 99% accurate).
