Inkjet paper for xmas cards

Permajet. (They have a 30% black friday sale on paper, but not sure if the cards are covered by this)

i use PPD (Photo Paper Direct). Good quality and inexpensive. I use their A5 foldable to A6.

Looking at the reviews for the 260gsm pre-scored gloss cards there is one that mentions that the cards curl during printing and are not sturdy enough to stand on a mantlepiece.
Would you agree?
I have a box of Permajet card blanks that I really rate (same size) but they are over 3 times the price, so any help would be much appreciated!

When I make greetings cards, I buy blank, prefolded board ones and stick the images to those. Much more sturdy than any home printed ones. IIRC, the last lot came from WHSmith.

Yes, I've done that in previous years. We'll see if printing directly on the card gives a more professional looking result, although I take your point about them possibly being less substantial.

Yeah, we've used these ones many times and I actually like the process of sticking prints to the blanks (guess who's doing their Christmas cards this evening..) but printing directly onto cards is a different look, and the Permajet blanks (pre-folded with envelopes and even clear sleeves if for selling ) are very good, just a little pricy!
