Hi all.
I'm looking for some overgrown, disused, closed down, old Graveyards, Cemetery, Churches . For some Infrared photography I'm very interested in Cemetery Art, the only problem I have is I can't find any locations for shoots near me.
I have a few graveyards Cemetery in the area but most are well kept and modern up to date places, not what I'm looking for.
I would be very grateful if anyone could point me in the direction of som good sites please.
I live in Bury Grater Manchester. I'm sure there must be somthing around me that fits the bill.
Thanks in advance and stay safe .
John

I must express some interest in this topic as I live close by in Bolton.

I understand what you mean about well kept graveyards, the disappointing ones are where the tombstones have been stripped and rearranged.

I've visited a few locally, perhaps the best is St. Winifred's, Standish near Wigan. Also the church is something special.

A panoramic pinhole and a stereo pair:

As an example of a well groomed graveyard but not overly done I like St. Mary the Virgin, Eccleston (https://lancashire-life.uk/st-mary-the-virgin-church-eccleston-lancashire/). The church itself is fabulous. A pinhole picture.

Going further west from you I think you should consider visiting St. Thomas a Becket in Heptonstall. A very mysterious graveyards, three in total, with the added benefit of having two churches in the same grounds; a ruined 13th century church and a Victorian church (https://www.stthomasheptonstall.com/brief-history.php).

St. Mary's Church in Newchurch is another of my favourites but with a well groomed graveyard, which might not suit your purpose (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Mary's_Church,_Newchurch_in_Pendle).

Let's hope we get some other responses about other interesting local locations.
