Infrared camera

Hi not sure if this is the right section to post but here goes. I have been offered a infrared converted digital camera with 3 filters. I know nothing about infrared and this maybe a silly question but if its been converted do I need the filters? Also is £30 about the right price? Thanks in advance

Depends what the filters are and what the camera is! We'd need more information to be able to comment. Having said that, any IR conversion would cost more than £30 so as long as it's been done properly, it's probably a bargain

there's many ways of converting to infrared red as well which would affect any advice.

however £30 seems like a steal

Talk to the seller? Ask for a few examples shot with and without the filters. £30 does seem cheap - maybe too good to be true!
