hi Guys.. I was on a trip with my mates to Peak district... I had given my Nikon D5100 at one point of time to my mates and sadly last 60 approx photos hav got deleted but the first 450 photos are still there.. dont know what has happened really.. I moved on to another location and had more clicks which were safe ...

Can anyone pls tell me how to recover this/ is it possible to recover / what happened really ??

I am not sure if this is the section where I can discuss this... I am new chap here :wave::wave:
 
There is software avaibale to help, but its not guarenteed you'll get anything back.
Sandisk make one called rescue pro, which is pretty good. I think there might be some free options too if you google.
 
Also have a look at Recuva, which is free and appears to be well liked.

Have used it recently and it seems very good.

However if you have used the memory card since losing the pics you may find they have been overwritten and therefore not recoverable.
 
Also as a word of advice replace the memory card.

Random corruptions and things going missing on SD is normally a sign of bad things to come and seeing as storage is so cheap it would be foolish to take the risk
