Hi All,

I'm looking for some help/advice!

I'm going to be doing a photo shoot for an young student band and so I'm looking for a suitable and very cheap (or free!) location around Essex or East London - I'm thinking something industrial.

Any ideas greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave,

Not sure if this is location might be of any use to you at all, I found it yesterday evening while out ambling around my beloved Colchester.

It looks like it was once a warehouse/workshop area that's now been abandoned. There's been a few of the local spray can artists around it at some point, but otherwise it's as clean as any abandoned warehouses. It isn't possible to get vehicles right up to the site, although it's possible to park up less than a hundred yards from the buildings. As far as I can tell, it's open to public access on foot and no one so much as paid me a second glance as I was wandering around, not that there was anyone around much to pay any attention. :)

Here's a Googliemap clicky bit with the location marked.

Hope this might be of some use to you. :)

Any industrial estate on a Saturday/Sunday evening.

Otherwise, take a wander over your area on Google Earth. You probably have a decent location to fit the brief within 5 miles, but it's off the main road and you have to know it's there to find it.

That looks really good. Will check it out over the next few day. Really appreciate that, many thanks.

I'll let you know how I get on :)

You're most welcome buddy. Let me know if you decide to do the shoot up this way and I might well swing past to say hi (work permitting). :)
