In the world of parcels, size matters!

Saw this on the tv this morning.
Why make it simple when there are ways to make it less so

Ian I'm sure you would have noticed but if you leave this as +1 the antimatter will explode as soon as you switch on the containment field, should be -.

HTH :)

Aaaaah, THAT's where I went wrong. I thought I got charged a bit more than expected for postage.

FFS:-

Be careful how you wrap a parcel too, says Sue Hayward. She recently posted two identical compact mirrors, but made the mistake of wrapping one in a box, and one inside a padded envelope.

The one in the box cost £2.80 - the one in the envelope cost £1.20.

"Same product, but that's a huge difference - of £1.60," she says.

Does anybody really think that putting something in a box shouldn't cost more to post than posting an envelope? How about putting the mirror in a 1m cubed wooden crate - does she expect that to also be the same as an envelope?

And then the story goes on to complain that 2 other companies use different standards! OMG the horror of having different companies offering different options!

Another quote:-

Then there is the matter of Royal Mail's temporary price reduction, on the current larger small size, as it were.

From 20 October to 18 January 2015, this will come down from £3.80 to £2.80.

Will that price reduction become permanent?

Are the BBC really asking the question - 'will that temporary price reduction become permanent' !! Have the editorial team fallen into a coma over the weeked?

So everyone is unhappy that it's going to cost less to send out pressies for christmas ?

Ok I'll have a word with management and see if they can make them more expensive for you :D

The new sizing is much more sensible. They should have just done this in the first place. They have lost a lot of customers for that size discrepancy to hermes. I'm guessing they're are trying to claw them back.
