In praise of Elinchrom lighting

Just realised that the Elinchrom lighting kit (2x250 heads, case, stands) that I bought new at the Flash centre
In 1988 whilst still a student has passed its 26th birthday and still going strong.
Remarkable considering it's never been studio based but always on location so in and out of cars vans trains planes.
Lot to be said for buying quality kit ( in the days before digital depreciation anyway ...)

I've had very good experiences with the old Elinchrom kit too, I haven't bought any of their kit for about 14 years and I haven't been as lucky in terms of repairs, but it's served me well.
