i've checked out the A-Z list and i have a few ideas, but nothing special, i'm thinking about doing some photography inside, preferably either in, or as close to my home as possible, i'm not exactly the best at portraits, so nothing to do with them, but maybe something with water and objects? i really don't know, can anyone help?

whenever the weather is a bit pants outside, i too look for things to photograph.

I use small LED lights to provide dramatic lighting. Photographing flowers has got to be the first thing that comes to me. The best idea i think i came up with though was photographing steam coming out of an iron. I also did some abstract images of a desk fan. See gallery link below.
 
they're amazing!, i've only looked on the abstract so far, gonna check out the rest next x
 
water drops are one of my favourite shots,and easily done by filling up the kitchen sink half full,set the camera on a tripod.get the tap to slowly drip water and focus on where the drip is landing...and shoot away!

also best done with a cable release to avoid camera shake,and illuminate with some angle poise lamps or a flashgun/both :thumbs:
 
o0o0o0o..good idea! i might have to experiment tomorrow, after i've got back from the horses, i'm in the house on my own all day...yayy!!
 
might even take the camera down to the yard with me, get some of them playing in the field maybe
 
Not just that poppy, how about some abstract down the field? Not just of the horses. but how about some of the horses mane zoomed in? the paddock? Padlocks? Patterns in the wood? Any tree's about? Saddles? Stirrups? Not only that, but sometimes a "plain" shot can be turned into something else with the right PP work done to it :)

I was stuck for inspiration lately but this week had a massive of ideas that I'm going to start shooting. I don't think you can force inspiration. It just comes. Don't worry!

Glad I could be of some assistance. think outside the box :) Sometimes it works....:lol:....sometimes it doesnt - you dont know unless you try :)
Plus it allows you to try new bits and pieces via your post processing work too :)

Try things you've not tried before. Go stupid with th contrast/toning, and see what works - and what doesnt.

Do you shoot RAW or JPEG?

JPEG i know i should shoot RAW but it confuses me!
 
yeah mine does, i've used it a couple of times, just so i can try and decipher the inner-workings of RAW-ness! but i tend to get a bit confused and annoyed, so i ignore them!

but i shall keep trying!
 
maybe it'll just take me a while to get used to it, but...i'm trying!
 
okays, there may well be a post on here tomorrow lunch time when i'm cursig away at the RAW files!!

hehe, it's no problem, i was kidding!

just come back from the horses, and i would have taken more abstracts of the two horses, but they're camera shy!! all will be explained when i post them lol, and i was rushed for time with the field abstracts, so you got the best of what i could manage xx
 
I shot in both, the JPEGs are up, and i'm gonna have a play with the RAWs in a bit, after a bite to eat!
 
What's this A-Z list? And where is it? :)
