if you have the whole nail out it takes about 18m to grow back fully. Assuming it does grow back and the nail bed doesn't die.

If you have a sliver removed, the recovery is quicker.

My lad had one done when he was about your age Matt
typical teenager " that didn't hurt dad"
But it brought tears to his eyes once the "local" wore off

Massive protective bandage around the toe & I think it was at least 2 weeks before he even concidered putting his trainers on!

But once over and "forgotten" he decided that it was well worth it
