Just spotted a advert for this software in a magazine and had to check out their website, this is a quote from their website 'However, sometimes the camera fails to focus on the subject automatically and it comes out unsharp. AKVIS Refocus will take care of such images.' So no more blurred photos :D.

Another one thats been around for ages is focus magic, thats showing it's age a bit now but is still pretty good. That said if your pics a lot OOF then nothing will bring it back.

Looks that way to me! Nice little layer of guassian blur. No way in hell the original photo was blurred like that and then magically made pin sharp.
 
Well I gave it a go with a slightly soft image so heres a bit of a comparrison, the one left is no sharpening and right is with refocus, it has had an effect, I had a play with it and it seems ok, but as I said if it's really OOF your kippered.

Looks like it just sharpnens it to buggery. I guess in a dire circumstance it could be usefull.
 
It is looking over sharpened on here, at full size it looks better, not really my cup of tea if I'm honest.
 
Looks like just another sharpening tool to me..
 
Just looks over sharpened to me too. Smart sharpen in CS5 can work the same magic and you can even knock down a bit of motion blur/ camera shake by messing with the motion blur option. TBH it usually best to just move on to a better frame.

What exactly are the circumstances behind this image Wayne and is that a school uniform she's wearing? :D
 
It's a sort of uniform, shes supposed to be in a strict church run hostel in the 1960's, it was one from a play (shes singing)
