Images in PSE (from ACR) look lighter .. why?

I use PSE13 for all my image processing. RAW files open automatically in ACR and when I've done what I want to, I click 'Open Image' and it automatically transfers to PSE. There I straighten and sharpen, before cropping and saving as jpegs.

For some time now I've noticed that the image as it appears in PSE is slightly lighter over all than the image was in ACR. This doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, since all my exposure adjustments are performed in ACR, but I wonder why the photo should appear lighter in PSE? It's nothing to do with monitor calibration - I'm viewing all images on the same screen after all.

Any ideas why there should be this discrepancy?

The only thing I can think of is you might be using different colour spaces in ACR and Elements. Actually, i don't think that is very likely but it is all I have.

You might check to see if the colour space setting in your camera and in Elements are the same. Although Raw photos do not technically have a colour space, ACR will use the colour space setting in the camera unless you tell it otherwise.

Thanks John, as you might guess I've already checked out the colour spaces, but thanks for trying! As I said, it's not a major issue, especially as I'm now quite used to the difference - which isn't huge, but nevertheless noticeable. I just need to take extra care when running off any prints.
