Hi folks, I've ordered some prints from dscl which arrived this morning, the quality is great but i noticed the face of the subject looked a little fat.
So after playing around i noticed that when i change the image to the dimensions that dscl want it makes her short and fat !!
Now my question is how do i resize to keep the image as i want it but still give the printers the sizes they want
This is my first time using a printer on line so i need to be sure it's me and not them. If it helps i ordered a 10 x 8 print resized from 4288 x 2848 to 3000 x 2400.
Any help much appreciated

You need to do a 10x8 crop before resizing, or resize for the shortest dimension, then canvas size to take the larger dimension down.

My advice is to always crop to the aspect ratio of the paper you are printing on (taking into account any borders etc), then resie it so the dimensions are correct at the resolution (e.g. 360dpi) the printer needs. That way you know what the file should look like when you get it back, without having to worry about how the printer will interpret your image.
