Edit My Images
No
Hi everyone,
I have been editing my photos using photoshop elements 8.
I have been printing out my photos 6x4 and the images have come out fine.
The problem is i now want to print out some of my edited photos at a bigger size eg 10x8 and am having problems as the images do not look as they should ie squashed/stretched etc.
I really dont want to have to go back to the start images and edit them all again (bigger this time)
is there a simple way of resizing all my photos ?
I was wondering if there was a plug in or another computer programme that made resizing easier?

any help would be appreciated

Helen

You cannot turn a 6x4 into a 10x8 without cropping something off. It's like trying to make a circle from a square - you can but you need to crop bits off to make it.

THe easy way is to use the crop tool. When you select the crop tool, you'll see the tool bar above where you can enter the height and width. Change those to 10 & 8 (whatever orientation you want) and in the resolution box this is basically where you would set the quality of the final print. 300ppi will provide the best but only if your image is of a suitable size. Depends how you sized the 6x4s you have. We probably need more info to give more guidance

But remember that the ratio of your image cannot just be changed as it stands. Your camera produces a 3:2 ratio but a 10x8 is a 5:4 ratio.

Hope that helps a little.
