Image deleting problems

As anyone any sugestions what is going on when i delete my images.
I go through my images and delete whatever i dont want ,Then move the keepers to a Temp folder on my PC . Then format the CF card.
After using it again for another shoot ,whan i check on my PC the old images that i deleted show up again for a brief second ,then the latest ones show up.
I go through the same proceedure again and the same thing happens . I admit my card reader is quite old and bought a new CF card but still the same problem.
I have raw enabled ,but as i mainly shoot B&W i never use Raw. I am using Olympus PEN F. thanks.

Operating system building a cache of thumbnails which it redisplays before it rebuilds it with the new ones?

WOW that was quick ,any idea how i can clear this please. Im WIN 10 if that helps and afraid im not very PC savy. Thank you

Easiest way is to ignore it.

Otherwise a search for something like "windows disable creation of image cache" should turn something up
