Hi, nice to meet you all,

My name is Raymond, I started photography back in 2012, and I currently just got back into it. I am from New York, and I'm at a beginner level since I am relearning all of the different techniques, and it's a lot of fun. I enjoy shooting street photography, landscape, macro, and wildlife. I joined this website to make new friends and to help out. Photography is a hobby that helps me deal with stress by getting me outside of my comfort zone. Any feedback on my photos would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Raymond, And welcome aboard TP, looking forward to hearing from you and maybe seeing some of your images on the various forums. "Enjoy"

"I too am from the USA (TN) but now living in the UK more or less permanently"

Hey George, nice to meet you, and thank you for the message. How do you like living in the UK?

Hey George, nice to meet you, and thank you for the message. How do you like living in the UK?

I've had business in the USA & UK for many years so I used to spend about half the year in total in each country. I decided during the fall last year to sell up in the USA and stay in the UK permanently as my wife is from the UK. We still have a place in Murfreesboro TN that we visit as & when we want to so not a 100% move. I like it very much in the UK although the attractions of back home are still tugging at me considerably, wether I will will completely settle in the UK only time will tell.

That is my eventual dream to in the next 20 years, six months here, six months in Oz, follow the summer. Still have my place back home as well.

Hi Raymond.

I know all about stress, I suppose just about everyone does these days.

I hope you enjoy hanging out here and I'll look forward to seeing your pictures. It'll be interesting to see pictures from the USA :D

Wow, congratulations on fulfilling your dreams, and good luck in the future. I would love to move overseas one of these days, but that will take time. How long have you been doing photography?

Hi there Raymond, :welcome: To the forum, enjoy yourself here:)

How long have you been doing photography?

The short answer to that is "TOO LONG" or to put it another way I've been round the block a time or two with a camera. I mainly snap street stuff these days and get out on the streets as often as I can.

Me? I'm just coming up to 61 and got my first camera at 10. I can't say I've ever improved but I enjoy it and I post quite a few pictures on here :D

Nice, I like to shoot street photography as well. What type of lens do you like to use? I use a prime and telephoto lens.

Nice, what kind of camera was it that you got? Keep up the good work.

Hi Jak, nice to meet you thank you for the message. How long have you been doing photography?
Since I was a child! My first camera was a 110 cassette Kodak! My first digital camera was a Fuji Fine Pix, 6mp, brilliant ;)

I snap normally with an 18-55mm zoom on APSC format, but for one personal reason or another at the moment I snap mostly with either a Sony RX100M6 or Sony RX10M4.

My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic 36, a simple fixed lens camera with a 43mm f11 fixed focus lens with a choice of either 1/40 or 1/80. I still have it but haven't put any film through it for decades. I still use the case though as my Panasonic TZ100 fits in it perfectly.

Nice. I remember that brand; I have seen them on B&H selling just the film. It's insane how far technology has gone into making new cameras. My first camera was a Nikon D3100, which I still have.

Hi Vitalic, nice to meet you. Thank you for the message. I have friends from Pennsylvania, and I don't live in the city. I live on Long Island. You would like New York City there's so much to do. How long have you been doing photography?

Just got back into it like you have so about 3 months.

I used to be a wedding photographer too but my health decline put a stop to this

I'm sorry to hear that about your health. Who inspired you to become a wedding photographer, and what was it like doing it? Did you have any challenges when you started?
