I've just spent the last 15 minutes scouring my desktop for a folder of pictures supplied by a tog in Canada for use in our unit photo album. I then realised that they are in fact on my laptop, not my desktop.

Nothing like wasting quarter of an hour on something I was never going to suceed at, eh?

:bang:

If it's any consolation, I went out to work today - sat in the car - no glasses - back in house, get glasses. Back in car, drove 4 miles in heavy traffic, realised I'd left wallet & coins indoors - turn round, go back and get em.
Rest of the day was - er - **** as it turned out.

Thats nothing........I spent 1 hr going to work getting the van and driving to Poole from Pontefract only to find out the job had been cancelled and it was my day off...........(a few years ago)......still Ps mee off to this day

lmao...back in February we had bad snow down here. Walked outside one morning, decided not to drive in, so went back in doors, put on some warmer clothing, walking boots etc and trekked into work. There was only myself and my Sgt Maj in. I said to him 'check me out sir, I'm the only one who's made it in so far!'...dead pleased with myself...

....til he replied 'that's because I text everyone earlier and told them not to come in, you tool. Didin't you get the message?' :bang:

Snap

Into car, no wallet, back to house, get wallet, back to car, 5 miles later no phone, back to house, grab phone, back to work - crap meeting followed :)

I have had a similar experience to some....

Set off for work and got half way there when I realised I had left my mobile at home.

Turn around, got home, unlocked front door, put keys down on desk, located mobile under a pile of papers, back out of front door and pull it shut - it is at this moment I realised I had left my house keys on my desk!

Spent the next hour and a half waiting for a locksmith to come out and let me back into my house, which took him all of 30 seconds and cost me the princely sum of £85!

How about dropping the kids off at the MIL's on my way to work, and returning home after a hard day only to realise I had forgot to collect them on the way back, 30+ miles away!! :bonk:.

 oops!

Last year I did drive to work (30 miles away) and at about 20 miles into the journey i decided to get a CD out of glove box only to find my other half's car keys in there. 15 mins before she was due to leave for work.

Needless to say i didn't get back home quick enough, but instead of waiting for me to bring them back and getting to work 10 mins late, she decided to get her mum to drive her to work. :bang:

i regularly used to wake up at about nine or ten o'clock. b****r b****r, i'm late for work.
grab clothes and leg it downstairs .
my mrs would be looking at me like someone mental.
"what you doing?"
its 9 or maybe ten PM.
ive been in bed an hour or two, and i start work at 4 or 5 AM.
cobblers

oh arse.

Set off for work on my Motorbike one day, I knew there was something not right, it began to bug me

Engine sounded ok.....

Brakes felt fine....

Steering , responsive....

Petrol guage ok...

Stopped at a junction, put foot on floor......

b****r, still had my slippers on :bonk:

I can go into a supermarket with a shopping list and forget to get a quarter of the things on it.

my other half's mother last year went to the supermarket, bought the bits and bobs she'd gone for and walked home. Got home and realised she'd driven to the supermarket.

Ended up having a cuppa and walking back to retrieve the car - I didn't laugh.......... oh what the hell, of course I did
