I'm in love with a swivel screen but she's getting old

Hi Everyone
I have a Canon Powershot A630 and I really love the swivel screen for photographing flowers without lying flat out or snapping from angles not possible without the swivel.

My camera still works well but I have been thinking of upgrading to a newer model with maybe a few more megapixels.

But I can't find a new version of my trusty snapper - I would have thought I could have bought a new compact but none have a swivel screen.

Maybe there's something out there that I'm unfamilar with that I could fall in love with all over again......?

Any ideas peeps?
 
I know what you mean. I could never go back to a fixed screen.

The Canon G12 and SX40 are current(?) compacts with flippy screens, or look at the 600D or 60D if you fancy something bigger.

Do you have an idea of budget and are you after a compact or a DSLR ?

The Canon 600D and 60D as above has a swivel screen so would be a logical upgrade as your used to Canon.

There are tilt, swivel screens on other compacts (as per previous post) and other makes of camera, eg Sony.
 
Panasonic G series MFT have the swivel screen. They're bigger than a compact but smaller than a SLR.
 
What you really really want is the new Canon G1X, but costo top dollar!

A very cheap option would be to find a Panasonic Lumix G1 (or G2) as they go for silly cheap prices and they're really good.
Try to get one with the kit zoom lens and TRY to find one with the 14-45 lens (good lens) rather than the newer 14-42 (less good).
