I'm sorted but i'm getting muslin is there anything you guys recommend?
 
You're getting muslin, theres nothing really that people can recommend...

To be honest, and speaking from experience - I don't really like the muslin backdrop, I prefer paper backgrounds, or a plain painted wall... I dont really like the look muslin gives.

When it's ironed well, it's pretty awesome :D
 
You're not supposed to iron muslin backdrops, they go shiny and loose the original feel/look of the material.
 
They are supposed to 'naturally' decrease, or there's some stuff you can use to help it decrease - I dont know what though, I haven't looked into it that much.

yup kettle steam is good, but takes ages. tbh your better off with one of those floor steamers or even the hand held puffin type thing mabob or maybe a steam generator iron. All of these would work
 
My pure cotton 140 something came from India. It is hanging and all creased up. If you light it properly they will disappear. I have just up-loaded my test shot, I can assure you its the pits without the lights on.
 
Ive got a muslin backdrop - its not great, sure its cheap but it just attracts dirt like its dirts secret lover... Vinyl is my personal favourite, then paper. I found with muslin I had to fold it in half to get any thickness in it.

Dont like muslin back drops at all sold mine on ebay after the first time using it. I much prefer paper or for smaller houses i visit the lastolite pop up back grounds
 
There's no need to iron it.
Just arrange it as required and spray it with water from a plant sprayer (preferably the pump up type)
The creases virtually fall out after 10 minutes or so.
