Why no threads on the 20th anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death.

Linky

I know people die every day, but I do consider him an iconic and superb musical/lyricist.

Maybe it's the Jack talking.

Just my own musings.

Cheers.

I was watching a couple of Nirvana clips the other night on youtube, but didn't actually think about the anniversary

Without realising it was the anniversary, I was discussing his death last weekend with a good mate....he surely must have been in a very dark place to do what he did with the world at his feet, wealth, and more importantly, a young family around him?

Your taste in music is thankfully better than your taste in liquor.

Kurt Cobain legend RIP

I missed it until I saw a post on Flipboard.

I have to say, that's something I've thought about a lot. Millionaire, worshiped globally, lovely children and more.

I have second hand experience of depression, but, I can't imagine where he was when he wrote the suicide note and put the gun in his mouth.

Ya know, I'll say it, and I know how naive it sounds but, I do wonder what would have happened if some one had taken him to a island, with none if the crap he was surrounded by and just talked.

Yeah, as I'm typing this I realise my nativity.

Cheers.

to answer the question.. maybe theres a heck of a lot of people.. like myself.. who havent the foggiest idea who he is or was?

Always good to remember influential people.

Can't say I was a fan but I do recognise the contribution.

You need to get out more Tony:p

Not really into music but Nirvana with his driving force certainly changed the industry. Like all geniuses though there often much darker things going on and it's a pity he couldn't deal with the adulation/ fame.

Did have a psycho wife too:D

My initial reaction was "you have got to be joking, you have never hear of Kurt Cobain and/or Nirvana?!".... Nope, can't think of anything to counter that . Really? You have never heard of the aforementioned?

Ah, well, I guess there are loads of people out there I've never heard off.
