Illuminated trains - settings

I see a lot of Heritage Railways are planning illuminated trains this year

Can anyone give me thoughts on what settings would be best for photographing these

Illuminated as in floodlights at night, static train? f8 to f11, camera on a tripod, exposure as long as required, 2 second self timer or remote shutter release.

The NYMR did one already it is like LED christmas lights over the whole thing

It seems not, it's rather more like the Blackpool lights

Yes its Xmas style lights fixed throughout train - I see NYMR and S Devon are running them

Note, both Steve and Dave are working volunteers on the MHR and hold current Personal Track Safety certificates which allow them to go trackside.
Do not attempt to go trackside unless you are authorised (not only is trespass on a railway dangerous, it is a criminal offense (as opposed to civil for most other forms of trespass )).
