Hi
I am about to finish my last a3+ box and could not find more online. It seems the paper is no longer sold.
Too bad as it delivered top quality color prints and stunning B&W.
Any advice to replace it?

I am using a Epson r3000 with Oem ink.

I use FotoSpeed Platinum Baryta 300gsm now and prefer it to the gold fibre silk, it is very close in terms of performance. Another that has been recommended to me but I've not yet tried is Hahnemuhle Fine Art Baryta. I'm sure there are others, see if you can get some samples :)

Look at Canson Baryta Photographique. It is very very very similar ( So similar it could be the same product )

I used to use GFS and although I'm still working my way through a box of 50 A4 sheets I picked up at a trade show a while ago I switched over to Hahnemuhle Fine Art Baryta for A3 and can't fault it - more expensive than GFS was but excellent quality.

From the Developing Tank http://developingtank.blogspot.co.uk/2014/03/Ilford-Gold-Fibre-Replacements.html

"All will not be lost, however, as there are other papers that are very similar. Canson Baryta Photographique is the most cited replacement paper for Gold Fibre Silk.

The two papers are so close in hue that one reviewer said that the Ilford is slightly warmer, while another said that the Canson is slightly warmer. (The Rangefinders Online review, which said that the Canson was the warmer of the two, also has internal contradictions, so that article may not so reliable.)"

GFS is still available from Wex - http://www.wexphotographic.com/buy-...ts-/p1024196?gclid=cpsx1vzaqcccfsxjtaod3espjw
