only used it a couple of times ,,ive always pushed hp5 if i needed to ,,cant remember having any problems with it ,,,
and its iso 1000 ( not 3200 ) but ilford say use it between iso1600 and 6400
I have had more luck pushing Delta 400 up to 1600 than I have with Delta 3200 at EI 1600. However, of the shots I did like with D3200, there is a nice tonality. Can't really put it in words so it might be worth doing a search on Flickr.
Never used it myself, but this is something that comes up moderately regularly and of all the threads I've seen, pushing HP5 or similar seems to be the popular opinion.
I don't do my own Deviing I just find it nice to try different films so fancied running a roll.
@PMN and me are in Leeds next Tuesday just having a mini meet and beer and there is a right nice church I have found so I fancy shooting in there.
I checked with the curator and he is cool even with tripods.
Never tried the Delta 3200 nor have I pushed HP5+ so can't help with your original question Paul, however if you're able to use tripods, would a standard 400 iso film, slow shutter speeds on tripod work out an easier/cheaper alternative assuming the subjects are going to be stationary
Just be sure to check out recipricol failure of your film before you go in case you end up with long exposures.
