OK, like Mini, I am bored, so must apologise if this has been done before, but I couldnt find anything, so thought I would give it a go.

Lets imagine you can only take one more picture ever - what and where would it be? Somewhere close, a loved one maybe, or somewhere distant you have never been before? Lets assume time and distance is no object. :D

I think for me it would have to somewhere I have never been before, which covers a multitude of places, [the rockies, death valley, a seabed, the himalayas, and so on] and I am still trying to decide which it would be, so whilst I make a final choice, anyone else know exactly what theirs would be?

mine would be me cuddling my children and wife (although eldest is 18, so he might moan, lol) on our favourite beach in cyprus.

Wouldn't you already have that image though? I'm not sure if my last ever photo would be of a loved one unless it was a perfect photo worthy of it. I would assume that I'd have plenty of them already, that I would have already captured them in the best light. My last ever photo, hmmm. My birth would be a bit of a headfrack.

I remember the ending in Sky Captain. You have a space ship thats just blown up and all the worlds animals falling from the sky in parachutes. The silly woman takes a photo of the guy she likes. Rule of thirds woman! Have him in the foreground and the rest nicely behind.

If it was the end of the ability to take photographs, (and not life / the world etc), then I don't think I'd take photographs of my kids, I have at least 10,000 already :D

If it was the last opportunity to get a photo, ever, I think I would love to photograph something like the Northern Lights maybe. Dont know why, always wanted to go see them, so this would be a good excuse :D

Thats my thinking, I am not talking the end of the world, just not able to take any more pics, so like like Marcel, the 10000 I already have of the kids is enough.

Marcel, I am off to Norway in September, and I am told thats a good time for the Northern lights, so thats off my list for now unless I miss them whilst there :D

I think it would have to be a real wild Panda in its natural environment, misty Chinese mountains, that sort of thing for me.

Oooh Im looking forward to your shots when you get back then

Scottish highlands for me

I'm in the unusual position of going through this already due to an eye condition. Thankfully, i had been misdiagnosed, and my eyesight was restored to my normal 20/6000. :)

I found myself sort of paralyzed in terms of photography, thinking my time was limited. In the end, I shot a roll of very out-of-focus image of every day things that I thought I wouldn't see anymore: my hands, my kids, my dog, my husband, a few self-portraits, and such.

 So pleased to hear that all was ok in the end... that must've been really scarey.

Still thinking about what I'd want to take a photo of, so I'll get back to you on that one!

Hmm... I think I would take my camera to some sort of huge public event. Where the crowd of hundreds or thousands were all facing the front. I'd take a picture of the crowd, a sea of faces would be all the image consisted of.

I think that would give me years and years of interest, looking at all the different people and their expressions.

:suspect:

I wouldnt take any. Id just find something else to do.

 So if Dr Who appeared and said that you can take 1 photo from any moment in time, but you can't take any more photos, ever, you'd decline the offer and go for a pint?

SELF PORTRAIT!!
Dean:)

A Long Tail Tit - just to annoy Doug!

Yep, id then ebay the opportunity the Doc offered and do loads of other stuff with the money.

Completely and utterly off topic, but last Saturday's episode of Doctor Who was by far best since the programme was brought back from the dead. Truly fantastic.

Though if he offered me one photo from anywhere in time I would just keep 'researching' locations for as long as I could get away with it.

Michael.
