went to the NIA today in birmingham to see the monster truck show, on entering i was subjectec to the routine bag serch, i didnt take a camera bag, just a rucksack as i had my 5 year old with me, but i had my nikon d300 with a 18-105 lens on it. On inspection of the bag i wasa told i cant take that camera in..its too big !!..i stood my ground and was taken to the desk so i could find out the reasons why its 'too big'. I checked the website before hand and there was no reference to photography at all, so i pointed that out. i saw a chappy with a 7d walk passed me, and i said 'well how come hes got in then' !!..anyway..i contiued to put my case, then a supervisor came over. Apparently..its to do with the length of the lens..so i was told..not more than 6 inches..so it was duly measured and came out under 6 inches and i was let through...i did have the last laff tghough, as i had my 70-200 f2.8 in the rucksack wrapped up in a small jacket

I could put a response but
