I have had my Canon 400d for about three months now.Just got the standard 18-55 kit lens Iam looking for Ideas of what to ask for this Xmas. Iam 56 now so have gone past photographing the family now and want to do a bit more in the way of landscapes. Thanks in advance.

Seriously though, as a keen landscape chap myself your kit lens sounds about right in the focal length dept.
Are you actually new to photography? If so, go to the library and get a few landscape books out.
If an old-hand but new to digital, buy a good version of Photoshop or its equivalent (and a book on it!).
If you've already got that - spend your Xmas money on weekends away and enjoy yourself taking some pics - post them here and await the critique as an aid to improving, and if it's all 'WoW you're brill' - write a book on how you did it all with DD's advice!
