Ideas for my "photo for the month" project

Our son was born in December 2011 and we took a photo of him every month of his months birthday. In December we put all these into a calendar for 2013.

This year I want to do something similar but I want to do a shot for each month which symbolises that month. Some can be generic and some can be specific to our family, e.g. February - Valentine's day so something which symbolizes what we do for Valentine's day or March - spring so daffodils or something like that.

Anyone able to fill in some blanks on the list below:
January - snow
February - Valentine's day
March - spring
April -
May -
June -
July -
August - family holiday
September -
October -
November -
December - Christmas or son's birthday

What do you think when you think of any of the months above?

Any ideas will be considered

Halloween is of course on 31 October. I just googled to confirm the date and found a great pic on this site:
http://www.timeanddate.com/holidays/uk/halloween ... So that's the October month sorted.

Easter Sunday comes early this year 31 March. But on 20 April next year, and it usually comes in April.

So perhaps your April pic could be Easter-like ... featuring chocolate eggs/bunny.

In July the festival season will be in full swing so maybe something involving tents/camping, or perhaps excessive mud as that seems to be the theme whenever I venture to a festival!
