I'm off to my Brothers place for a long weekend at the end of November. He's recently moved down to St Mawgan in Cornwall and I was looking for some ideas of where to go for some 'togging.

I'd like to get some images of the coast, not sure what the weather/light will be like in a few weeks though.

Any ideas will be gratefully received

I guess one of the obvious places of interest would be St Michaels Mount at Penzance (no idea if i have spelt any of that right )

Not sure where St Mawgan is, but I am off to Cornwall soon and will be spending at whole day traveling around the Lizard Peninsular and will no doubt visit 'the mount' as mentioned above, also might try and get to St Ives. Have been to all those places before, but without a decent camera. Probably a ton more places, but those are one I remember being very photogenic before.

My favourite place in the whole country is Minack Theatre, about 3 miles away from Land`s End, I have taken hundreds of pics there.

Try Cape Cornwall. Have tried for years to get a decent picture from there but it's always raining.

You've got the Levant tin mine, Nice bit of 19th industrial buildings, plus some very dramatic coastline.

Try Newlyn ans Mousehole. ( later is a bit of a pig to park in but you should be OK in November.) Also you've got some great beaches along the north coast around Newquey. You may find some die hard surfers there as well

Just had another thought. A bit of trip from St Mawgan , but rainy day... The St Austell Brewery tour.. Highly recommended . Try the HSD ( Officially known as Higgs Special Draught, but also known as High Speed Diesel.) or Tribute

Kynance cove and Coverack on the lizard are really pretty. So is Lands End and for something different Goonhilly satelite station is interesting. Its on the way to Coverack.
Loads of lovely places all round the lizard.

Cagwith bay is well worth a visit, a lovely fishing village.
You cant go to the Lizard without visiting Cagwith, its fantastic.

Crantock beach & village just outside Newquay.

Steve, you'll love running up and down the sand dunes there at Crantock!

I adore Crantock.. the river and the sea together.. brilliant.

Also Mevagissey is picturesque

If you want to see seals, go to Gweek.

Not many golfballs left at Goonhilly now.

Steve, if your brother is in St Mawgan, then if you trip over, you will be on the coastal path, Bedruthan steps is stunning, then along that coast you have Porth, loads of small bays etc, huge beach at Watergate, just along the coast to Padstow & of course Newquay...
Then its just down to how far you want to go, Hells mouth, Porteath, Godrevey all great areas, etc etc..
If there any specific places you fancy just pm & I will try and advise ...
Pete

Newlyn Harbour is a good place. Loads of colourful working boats & coastal views.

Mine would have to be the ruined tin mines at Botallack. I only had a brief chance to visit it and vow to return!
