Ideas for a wide angle lens?

I'm looking to get a wide angle lens for my Canon 20D to get some nice landscapes for an upcoming trip. Does anyone have any suggestions for a decent lens that doesn't cost the moon?

If you're after an UWA, I've the Sigma 10-20mm and am very pleased with it

I would also be in the gang of Sigma 10-20 users. Well chuffed with mine, I purchased from a member here, has hardly been off the camera!

This is one of my most recent (It has been slightly cropped as well!) Near enough of 100% of my Light-painting has been shot with the lens.

What about the 16-35mm? have you considered that?

but it wont fit on his canon unless he gets a fit converter as well
