Idea for the next 2009 Competition..

Im not sure if we can give ideas for next months competition, but I was thinking it would be cool to do something in the lines of Cindy Shermans' Untitled Film Stills.

Basically, take a photograph that looks as if it is part of film.

That sounds stupidly awesome.

I love the fact she titled them 'Untitled', on an off note.

I think we should restrict it to genre, or to a particular film, because otherwise we'll have loads of different shots, which will be hard to judge.

personally I loved the way that the shots left something to the imagination.

It kinda makes you look into the picture more and wonder who the people are, what they are doing there and what happens next.

Being stuck with one genre I think would be limiting, and it would be interesting in what people would come up with. It would mean throwing a lot of photographic rules out the window to achieve something great.

Hmmm, not too sure about the Cindy Sherman ones but trying to reproduce iconic film stills would be a great idea, I have one in mind already so I can't give you an example of it
