But it seems I've not been advancing my lever enough. Far enough to activate shutter for the next shot but not enough to get a whole new frame.

Cheap film and not very good scans I know.

H'mm I would say the camera needs adjusting as to set the shutter you have to go all the way with the wind on lever....and it can be annoying with some cameras when taking a shot and nothing happens, as you have to remember to wind on that last little bit.

I will stick another roll in and give it a go. I've never noticed this before (OM40) so I suspect it is just user error as I've not used it for about a year.
