Yes
I have a set of Elinchrom D-Lite 2's and rather than use the lead i want to trigger them wirelessly. What do i need?
My camera is a Canon EOS 40D

The elinchrom skyports work well, you want the universal kit and it comes with everything you need in the box. have to trigger one of the lights as a slave though, but i assume your doing that anyway. you could use any wireless set you like, as long as it has a 3.5mm jack on the end to connect to your flash.

I used one of these a few weeks ago and much preferred the Skyports.

The Skyports are Radio and the Kenro's are IR.. Wireless (Radio) are always a better option.. they work even if theres some sort of obstruction.. the IR need line of sight pretty much..

Okay so lets just say that i am running a three light set up. I take it that the kenro transmitter just has to be pointing towards one of the lights. The slave cell on that then triggers the other two....is that correct?

I have a set of D-lites and a canon 40D as well and recently picked up a prolinca IR trigger from MBP which works fine. As near as I can tell the Kenro would do exactly the same job and be a lot cheaper. Just as a test I wandered around with the trigger up to about 15 or 20 feet from my lights and it still triggered them fine every time. The unit just slides into the hotshoe on the camera with the lights set to slave and was very, very easy to use. I am told that IR is not so good if you plan to use them outdoors but I suspect that indoors they should give you no problems at all as even with some obstructions the signal will bounce off the walls.......unless you are going to be shooting in an aircraft hanger of course... or maybe from underneath the sofa.

If you are going to be shooting inside then IR is ok, it's 100% some of the time because of the postion you are towards the flash head. Most people in studios however would rather use radio slaves as then they know that there will be no missfires.

If your thinking of going down the line of getting some radio slaves then have a real good look at the Skyports. Good reviews and quite a few people can say how good they are on here, me being the main person!

Hi I bought a dynasun TR03 8 channel wireless trigger system for £12.00 from prostudio 24
and it has worked great on all lights 3 bowens gm 500 2calumet lights a lot cheaper than most and so far no problem.

How can this get to 10 posts without Cherryrig?

If you have Elinchrom lights it has gotta be skyports really...

I use Pocket Wizard, in conjunction with a Sekonic L358 Flash master light meter, that has an on-board radio module it lets you meter the flash cordlessly because having to plug the sync. lead in to check the lighting ratios for each light is a real pain.
