Yes
I have managed to persuade my lovely husband to get me a D7000 for Christmas

Trying to find the best price online that has it in stock. Around the £950 mark would be nice, from the UK preferably.

Quick, before him indoors changes his mind! :help:

Also says it is not in stock - they are 'estimating' they will have stock in one day. I would rather order from someone who already has stock.

A word of caution for anyone wanting to order now for delivery before Christmas. Wherever you purchase, ensure they can "guarantee" delivery before Christmas.

I ordered goods from Amazon on the 4th December with delivery between 9th and 13th, but still not arrived. I am not a happy bunny.

I would check with them then - I ordered some stuff on Sunday 12th, standard delivery, arrived Tuesday 14th.

Did they have your stuff in stock?

Yes it was in stock and I had notification that it had been dispatched on the 6th, probably got lost. :(

Thank you, just spoke to them and they were really helpful but I think it's a grey import and they wouldn't be able to get it to me before Christmas as they have so many orders to pack up already.

Definitely worth considering though, they were really friendly and helpful on the phone.

I think the only way you are going to "guarantee" getting the camera you want before Christmas is if you can buy online and collect in store. I bought mine just before Christmas last year from Currys and with the cash-back and Quidco, it was a very good deal.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Bummer, said in stock when I looked. Some crafty begger must have beaten you to it.

I looked at loads of online retailers before getting mine, but TBH for the sake of £100 I just went and got it from Jessops. Everywhere online that was cheaper than Jessops were out of stock. Bar a couple of retailers that had endless bad reviews.

I got mine from jessops at the full price when it came out, you could try john lewis as they sometimes price match. I'd stay clear of the more dubious retailers claiming stock and a low price unless you can collect in person.

Right, going to order from Currys as they have a £60 discount code via Quidco, and can deliver before Xmas

Well that didn't go very well. Currys left me a message saying to call a fraud check number, which I duly called but the office had closed early because of the weather. My order was then automatically cancelled.

I didn't want to re-order from Curry's , so I looked at Camera Price Buster and found it cheaper from Wilkinson Camera who seem to ahve really good feedback from other TPers

It was on at £999 + free next day delivery. Whether or not it will be next day delivery I have no idea, depends on the snow!

Just got a call from Wilkinsons to say they are out of stock and won't have it before Christmas :'(:'(:'(:'(:'(
