I`ve just booked my New year getaway....

In the MGM Grand in Las Vegas!

28th December to the 3rd of January.

It better be good!

I can't wait! I haven`t been away for eight years so I thought I`d treat myself.

Anybody got advice for things to see/do? I`ve got a fair list already but suggestions are always welcome!

I'm very jealous. Las Vegas is on my list of 10 places to visit before I die. I'm hoping to renew my vows at the Venetian in 3 years time. All I know is make sure you see the Grand Canyon it is well worth the trip.

I know lots of people love vegas. We had 3 nights there as part of our holiday last year. After all the beauty of Yosemite and other places we saw first, Vegas was horrible. We did the tourist thing for a day and whilst the effort that has gone in to everything is impressive it is still just a load of cement plastic and fibre glass. The second day we drove out to the Hoover dam and lake mead just to get away from vegas.

As I said most people love it and wish they had more time there. 2 full days was too much for me.

Been there, done that and literally got the T shirts. Went for a stag week and came back ahead it was a fantastic experience you will love it i'm sure.

It`s very brash, I think it`ll be one hell of an experience. Definitely going for a helicopter trip over the Grand Canyon.

I`ve never been to the states before.
