Panasonic HC-X1500 with handle VW-HU1 and Azden SMX-30V microphone
For ages if walking along I kept getting a clicking sound virtually with every step. So this really pi**ed me off so time for an investigation. The microphone is very sensitive, so maybe it was picking up the sound of the suspension rubbing against the audio cable. Not that so could it have been inside the camcorder with the "floating "head? nope not that either. Now the handle goes into the camcorder body and connects with a small USB port wich disconnects the camcorder microphone . When it is in position there is a screw knob to hold in position.

Here was the cause of the clicking. it is spring loaded and foolishly it felt tight but no it wasn't it needed that extra couple of turns. So this was the cause the handle tapping the camcorder top would you believe?
video zoomed in on the handle and bluetooth dongle for wireless headphones, other is a rocker switch for zoom/stop/start recording
