It is thoroughly amazing and one does wonder... where will it lead? We already freeze eggs and sperm for men and women undergoing chemo.

I was watching a documentary about the latest Pyramid they are looking for, and they were opening tombs that were 4,600 years old with mummies inside - it occurred to me that might expose us to some old viruses and bacteria.

It is thoroughly amazing and one does wonder... where will it lead? We already freeze eggs and sperm for men and women undergoing chemo.

I was watching a documentary about the latest Pyramid they are looking for, and they were opening tombs that were 4,600 years old with mummies inside - it occurred to me that might expose us to some old viruses and bacteria.

I believe when they opened Tutankamen's tomb the walls had been painted with some toxic virus/thing and nobody knew until members of the team began to die.

I wasn't aware of this but I've often wondered if bacteria/viruses can "come back to life"after centuries.
