Yes
I am currently just starting out and am enjoying playing with my d3000 but I need video as well, I am thinking if part ex ing up to. A d5000.

The d3000 is mint with 5 months warranty - I wouldn't want to part with my lenses.

Any advice on if this is a good idea - how much cash I should part with as well as the d3000 body??

Thanks Sam

Sam,
Personally I would buy a camcorder, I reckon it could be cheaper than p/xing your d3000. Yes it's mint, it has warranty left, which is not transferable, it's under a year old, but it is still second hand. When I have partxed gear they look at making 50-100 Mark up to cover possible issues if they should arrise.

I've thought this - but then I have the issue of carting 2 things around.

Am right in thinking if I get a Dslr with video capability I get all the functionality of the different lenses etc. I wish I has just spent more in the first place now!

Well I wouldn't be part exing I don't think they just offered me £100 - can I haggle? If they would make it £150 I would do it - minus lens.

Remember DSLR video is much harder to use than camcorder video. Autofocus is generally pretty poor on most models (Not all)

Thanks - my husband thinks we should just get a camcorder - in part because I love my d3000, I'm beginning to get to grips with it and he thinks I would be a pain if it broke.

I think I Am going to look Pitney a second hand one and stick to Dslr for photography.

Thanks for advice.

Going to look around even - iPhone autocorrect
