Costco

Kirkland photo paper 150 sheets/255g approx £15per box.

Used this stuff for a few years and turns out excellent prints on epson profiles

Hope this helps

When I bought the then new & brilliant Canon i9950 I decided to only use the recommended Canon paper, and bought some of Jessops' own brand to practise on first

IMO - Jessops' is close enough to Canon's own as to be my choice for value - 50 sheets is about £16, so that's cheap enough methinks for close to Canon's own quality

I would vote for the Kirkland, but you need to be a Costco member to buy.

Ah Ha,

I printed the same picture out on 3 different sheets Canon Photo Paper Plus 270gsm, Fuji Premium 270gsm and Kodak Premier Pro 240gsm.

Tokk pics round to a boys night in at my mates flat and ask the prefered print.

7 out of 8 thought the Canon paper was the best print and the most expensive!

Kodak got no votes.

don't care for the Kodak either. Preference for the few times I print my own now would be Ilford Galerie Pro, smooth gloss, lovely stuff :)

I have been using Staples supreme glossy paper costs £7.99 for 25 A4 sheets and have been very pleased with the results.

Sorry to hijack...DiddyDave, when using the Jessops paper, what profile did you use? (I have an i9950 as well and have been using Canons own)

no problem , although, where were you last week when i asked about printers
(wander off to check out i9950:D

Check your local Lidl, they recently had some Agfa 240gsm glossy paper, 50 sheets for £3.99. I liked the first lot so much I went back and bought two more packs.

I use the Ilford Galerie Professional Inkjet range and would also highly recommend it. Worth the cash.

just bought some of this

i look forward to trying it out

tried many over the years and was really disappointed with Kodak and HP

the best i have found and used is Epson Premium Glossy (using that atm) and FujiFilm 270gsm stuff so look forward oto giving this Kirkland a try

The i9950 is a fab A3 printer and incredibly reliable - if mine had a record of printed A4s it'd be well into the thousands by now & hundreds of A3s - oh, and they don't make it anymore !!!

But as I don't use it for 'sale' shots I never bothered to profile it so the default is all I use - though I do reduce by -15 the Saturation on an image before printing as it is always a little too warm for my liking

Another vote for Costco Kirkland brand here.

Is the back of the Costco Kirkland paper plain or does it have Costco Kirkland printed on it?

cheers

hi dave , do you use original canon inks, or one of the subs
also i read in a review that it needs to have the heads cleaned if you use it infrequently
