I'm probably just another number amongst all of the xmas newbies but I thought it would be good manners to say hello and thank you before I browse the board for guidance.

I just got an entry level Nikon D40 for xmas and plan to learn a little about photography so as I can use it. I'm based in Co Down, Northern Ireland just in case anyone is local!
