Yes
But I don`t want stuff loading two by two. I have been suffereing with a few drop outs lately, and just discovered I have two NIC adapters installed, one showing Realtek PCI NDIS 6.20, and the other showing as Realtek PCI NDIS 6.20#2 Looking at the DNS and IP settings only one of them is configured with the other being blank and showing network cable unplugged. I disabled that one and rebooted, no internet whatsoever. I enabled it again and back comes the connection, so next I configured the DNS settings and IP address in the one which is blank, ignored the " If you do this you will get conflicts carp " and clicked yes to use those settings. Ok Internet was much more stable with the odd drop out, even browsing speed had a noticeable improvement. Assuming this might be the cause I downloaded the win 7 NIC drivers from Realtek and proceeded to uninstall both from device manager. The first one asked if I wanted to delete the driver which I chose yes to. On uninstalling the second one the option to delete the driver was not there, which is understandable I suppose. Ok on to a shutdown reboot ready to point it at my downloaded driver, no way jose. On detection it was banging a driver in straight away as opposed to being able to stop the installation and point it in the right direction of the new driver. Thinking about it now I cannot remember if there was an option to click on the notification icon which sometimes says to see details click here, if there was, then there might well have been an option to stop the driver install. So I was back to square one with the two adapters installed. Is there a work around for this? Cheers for any advice.

Strange what you can think of in the early hours of the morning. Overlooking the bloody obvious most of the time  Overlooking the fact there are two NIC`s on the MOBO, so I just disabled the one not being used in the BIOS, all seems to be running smoothly so far. Thanks for all the suggestions  ;)
