My parents were due to fly into Gatwick today and I was to pick them up at 4pm........ I had my coat on and was ready for the road when I get the phone call from my sister......

Sister:What are you making Mum and Dad for dinner tonight.......

Meteak and Ale Stew
Sister:Will it keep until tomorrow night

Me: Don't tell me they missed their flight

Sister: No! They didn't miss the flight........ They were a day too early !!!

When I was ill, I turned up at the dentist a week early... (Ironically, that was after being expelled from the previous NHS one for being late too often!)

I am one of those people that likes to be early for appointments, but I don't recall ever having been a whole day early.... yet!

OK...I have to confess...I drove to work on a Bank Holiday Monday a couple of years ago, wondering why the roads were so quiet.

It once went as sat at the end of a local airport runway for several hours getting increasingly p***ed off at lack of appearance of the Vulcan fly past I'd read about only to get home very p***ed off to find I'd got the day wrong and it was to be the following day to when I was there Arghhhhh

Many years ago my wife jumped out of bed saying I was late for work. Getting down stairs looked at the clock to find I was going to be 4 hours earley.

Was not amused.
