As some of you know I've been desperately seeking a job since I moved back to the US in July. It hasn't gone well. Today I went for an interview at a large law firm as an assistant to the Assistant Office Manager. The interview went well and I left feeling smug. But I'd been smug at about 8 other interviews with nothing......But they called a mere 3.5 hours later and offered me a job 5k over what I was looking for and great benefits (for the US that is not for you guys). So that is it. I'm finally in the land of employment and my husband can actually eat something besides beans and rice.

Yeah me!

:woot::clap:

I get 20 days of what is called flex time. That means I get 20 days of both sick days and holiday days plus 8 paid national (bank) holidays. So if you decide to take 2 weeks off for a vacation and then get really sick and are out 2 weeks that is all you get after that no pay.

I get subsidised health care so I pay about $280 a month for healthcare that covers my family but there is still a copay when I go to the Dr or get a prescription. Plus another $40 a month for dental which also only covers about 80% of the visit.

I am lucky as I get 7% profit share a year as a bonus which is about $2450. They also pay my life insurance and they put 3% in a year for my pension and I can add up to 15,000 on top of that.

That is about it.

Wow, Renee that's great news. Well done. :clap: When do you start? :woot::woot:
