At the huddersfield v bournemouth game I had a fantastic first half.. huddersfield leading 2-1.. i got one goal BUT both goals the players ran straight towards me.. I was the only one sat near the dugouts and they came straight at me.. I got some great celebration pics.. the scorer knew someone up in seats behind me and directly towards me he put his fist in air... great pics..

however ...all the game i couldnt get a strong enough signal to send pics.. I spoke to others (inc bluesman graham) who also couldnt get a signal to post..

I had a choice.. stay.. gte more good pics but risk not being able to send.. or leave at half time.. send in what are great pics and hope the score stays the same..

I left and got my pics in.. while listening to the match unfold and eventually go to penalties.. meaning mine will be useless no matter how good.. because the shootout is the story :(

had it stayed 2-1 i would have done very well i am sure... oh hum..

Who do you use for your dongle supplier Tony, im with 3 and never had a problem there.

Always been wiht three.. first ever problem.. but to be fair i dont think everyone was on three.. i couldnt get a strong enough signal from car park pre match right up to half time.. went down the rd and perfect

I'd probably invest in a second payg dongle on another network. Three have lost their network partner as tmobile and orange have merged so I suspect their coverage will be worse until they sort someone else out.

as photographers on other networks couldnt get a signal i dont think that was the problem or answer to be fair.. your right that a backup is a good idea as apposed to misisng out.. gonna see what happens friday night :)

Great lights at the Galpharm mate, i shot ISO 1250, 1/800th for England v New Zealand last year so decided to stick my convertor on.

Hi Tony, nice to meet you at last! reception improved a little after halftime but still slower than usual. PA guy Garath ended up sending his from up in the reporters area!!

haa well like I said at time.. if score stuck at 2-1 i would ahve cleaned up :) thats the gamble..oh hum :)

yup.. two people met in the last week.. nice one :)

Similar problems in Worcester last night as well - after the Championship rugby. Everyone in the wire-room were swearing at the Wi-Fi and even dongles were slow to begin with..
On Wi-Fi 12 pictures - time to send on FTP 120 minutes...
Snapped on 3 dongle - stepped out of the room, same pictures.. 120 seconds..

You need a carrier pigeon in Huddersfield, thats how they communicate over long distances.

I saw you were there and when I heard it went to penalties I was wondering if you got your shots fo the winning team running in from the centre circle.

Rub it in why don't you...;)

What a pain. I carry 3 dongles plus my iPhone personal hotspot. I can normally get a signal one wa or another. However I'll always stay to the end whatever.

if your on a commision and you cant get a signal to send the pics by deadline... you would stay to the end?

I reckon it's the Volcano in Iceland that caused the problem.

You do know it's Ash Wednesday tomorrow as well :)
